North of Desolation Sound
By Peter Vassilopoulos
This long awaited cruising guide provides details of the areas north of Desolation Sound, routes to the Broughton Islands and information about tides, currents and weather as well as the people and places of the islands. It was launched in time for Christmas 2003 and was a popular item among the boating community as a gift item. Now, as the season approaches and more and more people are looking northwards for their new cruising destinations, North of Desolation will provide the background needed for a memorable visit to the area.

This easy-to-use guide is packed with the latest voyage planning, anchorages, marinas, currents, winds, hazards, GPS coordinates, safe passages. It is illustrated in full colour with informative diagrams, sketch charts and crisp photographs. North of Desolation Sound also offers invaluable insider tips from a boater who has spent most of his life travelling and writing about boats and boating in BC, a worthy successor to John Chappel's classic, Beyond Desolation Sound."
